Exmoor is a paradise for walkers. Its changing landscapes, dramatic coast lines, open moorland, tumbling rivers, hidden valleys and wooded coombes offer unparalleled diversity and adventure. With the seasons come ever-changing scenes and colours, making it a place to be explored at any time of the year.

Lynmouth and its surroundings have so much to offer the walker that you will find it hard to fit it all into your stay. On our very doorstep, you will find the stunning scenery of the Valley of the Rocks, Watersmeet, Countisbury Head, Lorna Doone Valley, Heddon Mouth, and the high moorland of Exmoor.

The more serious walker will find numerous trails in or within striking distance of Lynmouth, such as:

The South West Coast Path is the longest of the National Trails, and features 630 miles of superb coastal walking, passing through Lynmouth
The Two Moors Way, with a total length of 102 miles, links Exmoor with Dartmoor, and finishes at our gate
Coleridge Way runs from the Quantock Hills to Exmoor (36 miles) through the landscapes that inspired Samuel Taylor Coleridge to produce some of his best known work
